The invention relates to a method for synthesizing acrylic ester modified epoxy toughening agents. The method includes modifying epoxy resin by the aid of methacylic acid to obtain acrylic acid modified epoxy resin; carrying out grafting reaction on the acrylic acid modified epoxy resin by the aid of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate to obtain 2-ethylhexyl acrylate modified epoxy resin toughening agents. The method has the advantages that the viscosity of the acrylic ester modified epoxy toughening agents ranges from 100000 to 300000, extremely obvious toughening effects can be realized by 5-10% of the acrylic ester modified epoxy toughening agents added into an A component, namely epoxy resin, of epoxy adhesive, and the tensile shear strength and the breaking elongation of the epoxy adhesive can be greatly improved.
